Ted Hake

Ted Hake founded Hake’s Americana & Collectibles in 1967, America’s first auction house to specialize in popular culture collectibles. Among his seventeen collector price guides are volumes devoted to Disneyana, Pop Culture Memorabilia, The Encyclopedia of Political Buttons 1789-1976, and Collectible Pin-Back Buttons 1896-1986. He has made many television appearances including the Antiques Roadshow, Today on NBC-TV, and The History Channel and he has appeared as a collectibles authority for QVC, Nickelodeon, and eBay.

Hake is a member of the American Political Items Collectors Hall of Fame and this year is organizing their national convention in Harrisburg, Pa. Hake holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and  M.A. in Communications from the Annenberg School of Communications, University of Pennsylvania.
